Plasti Dip is a popular purchase for the fishing community. This versatile waterproof coating can be used in a number of applications from repairing waders to painting lures, leads and jigs. In this post we round up some of the feedback we have had from happy fishermen.
Use Plasti Dip for coating fishing leads
Adam says: “I’ve decided to use Plasti Dip to cover lead weight used as an anchor for spearfishing float. It was to protect myself, my little son and the environment from getting into contact with this toxic metal. I would strongly recommend to all sea anglers to do the same with their lead cast. I found many of them on the bottom alongside the shore. Lead oxidise slowly in the salt water, dissolves and accumulates first in the fishes you catch, then in you. It is a neurotoxin, causing mental health problems.”
Andy Cleeve says: “Used Plastidip Pink spray to paint some fishing leads, very effective.”

A great coating for fishing hook jigs
Paul Brown says: “Flourescent colours great for painting fishing hook jigs, drys really quickly and coats well, if you paint your own jigs this is the best paint for the job… Great stuff thanks.”
Use Plasti Dip products to repair fishing waders
Have you waders sprung a leak? Use Plasti Dip to make them watertight and to provide grip on the waders soles
Denys Cowling used Vyna Bond, Plasti Dip’s strong flexible and waterproof adhesive to repair the felt soles of his waders. He says: “Product used for renewing felt soles to fishing waders. Adhesive appears to have worked very well but true test yet to come as the fishing season does not start until April.”

Great for lures, flies and feeders
John Aldridge says: “I go course fishing and make my own swim feeders out of wire mesh which gets sharp at the top and bottom i use the plastic dip to dip the top and bottom of the feeders this eliminates all sharp edges.”
Michael Waters says: “I’ve used it for making heads of flies for trout fishing, it’s great for forming heads of flies, it gIves extra durability to the head without adding any weight which is needed on some flies. It’s an all round fantastic product.”
