Do you struggle to find a hard-wearing paint for your horse equipment?
We recently received some great feedback from customer Charlotte Marston who had used Hard Coat Finish to paint her horse jumps. Charlotte was new to Plastidip.co.uk and our range of Performix products and discovered us whilst browsing our shop on eBay. She’d previously used another big brand paint (we won’t embarrass them by naming them!) and not had much success as she explains…
“I have not painted jump poles before and I had been meaning to paint my wooden jump poles for a little while now. It has been recommended that metal paint be used to protect the wood from the elements. I had tried one jump pole with another brand and it was awful! The paint itself was awful to apply, the pole required 3+ coats and the drying time between each coat was soul destroying. Within 3 days of use, it has already chipped, cracked and flaked, so I wasn’t impressed and the cost implications of continuing with that paint just didn’t work for me.”
Needless to say we are delighted that Charlotte had such success with Hard Coat Finish (HCF) and loved seeing her photos. Charlotte becomes April’s winner of our £50 voucher. If you fancy winning your choice of a £50 Plasti Dip voucher or a £50 Amazon voucher then send your photos or videos to social@plastidip.co.uk we are particularly interested in seeing different or unusual uses of our product.
Other equine uses for our products…
Charlotte is not alone in finding a horse-related application for our products as our feedback pages show.
Mick France used Plasti Dip to his horse trailer and left us the following feedback… “Needed to deaden noise on breast bars in horse trailer as horses getting nervous of rattling !!! seemed to do job !!!”
And Dan Astle-Carter had a very particular use for his order… “I used it for Equine Dental Rasp handles as they are foam and get dirty and crack. Plasti Dip was recommended by a friend. I diluted with Xylene thinner, possibly too much, and put 4 coats on. I used a water bottle with top cut off for dipping, which was perfect and a great tip for anyone dipping handles. The bottle can also be tilted and the handle rotated when the Plasti Dip runs low! It looks good, there are a few tiny air bubbles on the surface but hopefully they won’t be significant. “
