With its famous waterproofing abilities it’s no wonder that Plasti Dip proves to be a popular choice for bathroom DIY projects. Here’s a small selection of the feedback we have received from customers who have used it. Next time you have a leak you’ll be glad you have a tin at hand!
For recoating a floor drain
James Cheetham says: “Very handy to re-coat a shower room drain, after stripping back to bare metal. Brushed on 4 coats for depth. Looks great.”
Fixing a leaking shower
Roger Rose says: We had a problem with a leaking shower. Water seemed to be coming through the grouting. Having put on a clear primer and then a coat of Plastidip on top it has solved the problem. To have the shower re-tiled was going to cost £300 compared with the cost of the Plastidip products costing £44. You can hardly tell that there is a coating over the glazed tiles and so we are very pleased with the product. The only negative was the fumes when applying the coats by brush but that soon dispersed.”
Roger says: “I’ve had loads of problems sealing between a shower tray and the walls. So I thought how about a small fillet of waterproof cement finished off with WHITE PLASTIDIP to give a flexible seal. WOW!! So far so good after plenty of use.”
Hope says: “Used this product to line our shower with to cover cracks. Ordered 5 cans which covered most of the shower other than the tray, luckily the tray doesn’t have any cracks anyway. Could have done with a few more cans, but the product itself has worked extremely well. It has held up very well with the water too, been in place about 2 weeks and still looks pristine. Would definitely recommend to a friend.”
For painting sewer pipes
Paul Lynch says: “Painted my plastic foul sewer down pipe, what a great product would recommend it to anyone with external plastic pipe work .”
Recoating shower baskets
Jack Mcdowell says: “Used plasti dip to revive 2 shower baskets that were originally chrome, the end result was perfect, saved me buying new.”
Painting a cistern

For waterproofing a bathroom floor
pepijn vermunt says: “I used to my bathroom floor, it was tiled, but started to leak. I poured some polyethylene onto the floor and coated it with plastidip”
