If you want to give your jet ski a spruce up and a totally new look, Plasti Dip is perfect for the job as youtuber Steve Vigus discovered when he put some samples to the test.
There are many advantages to using Plasti Dip for painting a jet ski or for any sort of nautical use.
• It’s UV stable so the colour won’t fade in bright sunlight
• It creates a non-slip surface
• It comes in a aerosol so is very easy to apply
• Protects against moisture, acids, abrasion and corrosion
• It’s easy to peel off areas you have accidentally covered
Here’s what Steve’s jetski looked like before he started the job. A very standard white jetski with blue rubber trimmings. Definitely not a design which was created to stand out from the crowd!
To begin his makeover Steve spent time thoroughly cleaning the surface of the jetski and removing any decals and stickers. He then used :
• Six cans Classic Muscle Plasti Dip in sublime green (to repaint the main body of the jetski)
• Two cans of Black Plasti Dip for the trimmings and rubber bumper.
We recommend 3 or 4 coats be applied.
Black Plasti Dip is from our range of original paint colours and sublime green comes from the ‘Classic Muscle’ range of eye catching, high energy colours inspired by American Muscle Cars.
This is what the finished result looked like. Quite a transformation, not only does it look as good as new, but it also has a distinct personality too!
